Ben's Apartment

Merry nodded. "That is good." She thought for a few minutes. "I guess this is the right time to discuss this. Here the majority of Vampires are vegertaians. Meaning we feed off animals not humans. Now I can not make you decide which you will become but you need to think on this. We have made this a town that we can come and live among others with no problems adn we and to keep it that way. So we ask if you must have humans, go somewhere else." Merry stood watching. She held her place. This was something she worked on for a very long time.

Ben looked down at the floor and nodded his agreement. He was mostly vegetarian, there were just the occasional days when he lost control. Oh and the few times he got bored, there was also that one time when...Ben shook the thoughts out of his head. "I'll stay vegetarian in this city. But I can't guarantee anything once I step out of the city limits."

Merry nodded. She knew that this lifestyle was very hard. "That is all I can ask. For outside of my city it really isnt my problem. All I contol is my city. All I worry about it my city. It is all I can protect." Merry understood that it was hard. She wanted to help the new ones in any way she could.

"All right, well I'll stay out of trouble as much as possible. Scout's honor." Ben laughed.

Merry looked at Ben. Then she laughed spilling the warmth of her laugh around them all. She hoped that this helped to calm Zylee down a little. "A scout huh. That was not what I pegged you to be."

Ben shrugged. "What can I say? Looks are deceiving."

"That they are, that they are." Merry nodded. She turned her attention back to the newborn. "We need to get her some blood. I think it will be the best for her."

"Oh yeah of course!" Ben turned and opened the fridge. On the top shelf there were a few bags of blood, courtesy of the local hospital. Other than that, the rest of the fridge was empty. Ben grabbed one of the bags and stuck it in the microwave.
The timer beeped and Ben yanked it out. "Here ya go."

Zylee drank the blood quikly and started feeling a bit better.
Her head pains stopped.
"This is all so diffacult", She whispered to herself.

"It will be for a while, but soon the pain will go away. It takes a while to learn control but once you have it, things will be better. That i can promise." Merry said as she watched the girl, calm down before her eyes.

"Thank you, for all of this", Zylee said to the headmisstress and Ben.

"No problem, I remember how it was when I was first turned. It's a difficult process. Nice to know I can help."

Zylee stood up and hugged Ben.
"Your a grate friend, Ben", She whispered.

The hug alarmed Ben and he jumped slightly. There was a few awkward seconds before Ben quickly returned the hug. "Sorry, it's been a while since someone's hugged me like that." He whispered in Zylee's ear.

Zylee smiled slightly.
"I know what you mean", She whispered.

Ben laughed softly and then let Zylee go. "Well it still looks like we have several hours before dark. And I'm bored."

"Same, and i beleave we are now back to the question of what-do-you-want-to- do", Zylee said with a smile.

Ben took a step back and noticed his ill-fitting tee Zylee still wore."I think I've got an idea. How about we get you some clothes that fit? We can avoid the sun long enough to get into some stores. But I'm warning you before hand, I've got a maximum shopping time of one...maybe two hours if I'm in a good mood." He said flashing a playful smile.

Zylee Laughed.
"Sounds Good", She said with a smile.

"Cool, let me grab some stuff then." Ben grinned and walked to his room. He picked a hoodie off the floor and examined it. Didn't seem dirty. He opened the closet door and bent down. Hidden underneath was a small vault. Ben typed the password in and yanked the door open. Inside, stacks of bills lay in neatly organized rows. But he ignored them and reached for a credit card instead. Not his, of course. It was recently stolen from Ben's last meal. Hopefully it would take the cops a couple of days before they realized, the dead guy had been shopping. Ben slid the card into his pocket and walked back out. "All right, let's go."

"Ok", Zylee said and pulled on her swetter from yesterday, atleast that looked a bit decent compaired to the T-shirt, she laughed a bit.

Ben pulled the hoodie on and opened the door slowly. Cautiously he craned his head out. "Ahhhh the sun it buuuurns." He moaned in a falsetto voice. Ben laughed at his own joke and walked outside.

Zylee giggled and followed Ben.
She looked back and fourth, hopping no Human's would see them in the sun.

Merry stepped outside and watched them leave. She was happy that they had found eachother. She could return to the school and the business there.

"they are a cute couple...." i crept up on merry and left.
