Perry's Flat

The first thing you notice about the brownstone upon approach is that the building itself is rather run down. Chained to the solitary lightpost outside the front steps was a blue-black crotch rocket of nondescript make and model. It was vaguely girl-sized so it was easy to assume that it belonged to Paradigm. Though the door had a deadbolt, it was fairly easy to pick the lock because she and her flatmate, Gutter, rarely remembered to put the deadbolt in its place.
The inside of the flat was rather nondescript. The walls were pale blue and the room contained a smallish television set, a black leather couch, and a brown leather chair (a bit beaten up, presumably by a rather large dog or maybe a cat). To the left was a small coat closet.
To the right of the livingroom was the tiny kitchen. There was barely enough room for the small table shoved against the wall. The table had two chairs beneath it. The kitchen, however small, was well maintained. Beside the kitchen counter was a short hallway that lead to a staircase.
The door directly across from the stiarcase was the bathroom, again small, but clean.
To the left was a door that was beaten up and taped with yellow police tape--Gutter's room.
To the right was a door painted screaming orange--Perry's.
Upon entrance, there was no bed. Simply a metal desk with tall frames. If you follow the legs upward, there was a lofted full-sized bed above the desk. The walls were a muted orange fading from top to bottom into black. There was a leather loveseat that folded out into a twin-sized bed located underneath her window. In another corner was a rather large wardrober.

Merry appeared outside what she realized was Paradigm's home. A visit would be nice. She walked up to the door and knocked. So she waited.

Perry was sprawled across the couch, a book resting over her chest as she cat-napped. She woke with a start at the rapping on the door, "Whoozit?!" She shouted, slightly startled. She got up, placing the book on the couch. Before opening the door,she slid the deadbolt's chain into place and cracked it to peek out. "May I help you?" Her voice dropped an octave, hoping to be at least slightly intimidating (in case of an intruder) despite her diminutive stature.

Merry laughed. The sound of her laugh flooded the area with a very warm feeling. "Hello Paradigm. May I come in?" Merry stood waiting. She was a very patient Vampire. She could stand for a while and wait.

So the strange woman had glamour? Ridiculous. Perry's jaw set against the fact that she couldn't use glamour outside school walls. "How do you know my name?" She snapped, slightly taken aback. "Who are you?" Though Perry's vision was keener than a double-edged sword, her hearing was sub par inside the brownstone. There was something not quite right about the aura in that place, but it was a passable place to live for the time being.

Merry stood outside but her patience was begining to wear a little thin. "Well Miss. Langlsey I have come only in peace. I was just like to welcome you, nothing more. As for who I am. I am Meredith NicEssus the Headmistress of Alnwick." Merry looked at her nails as she waited. She saw that the day was getting later. Soon she could cast her cloud away and walk normally.

It was at that point that Perry closed the door, only to remove the chain and open it a moment later. She smiled, slightly sheepishly. "It's a pleasure, ma'am." She nodded, demurring her tough-chick air for a few moments. "Please, I'd like to invite you in. It isn't much," Perry chuckled slightly, "But it is home! Thank you for coming to welcome me!"

Merry nodded. She sniffed a moment and caught a whiff of a shifter. "Thank you." Merry said as she walked into the room. Merry looked around. Not stopping at one thing or another. It was as if she was survey it for later knowledge. "Are you ready for classes?" Merry asked as she turned her attention back to Perry.

Perry never really bothered to straighten up for guests, considering the fact that she so rarely had any. The main room wasn't really in disarray; it simply looked lived-in. She gave a slow, languorous smile as she seated herself on the couch. "About as ready as I'll ever be for now, I suppose." She shrugged noncomittally before gesturing towards the chair. "Would you like to take a seat?"

NICKIE WALKED TO THE DOOR AND KNOCKED!
NICKIE WAITED FOR THE ANSWER...

A slight frown crossed Perry's face, "Who could that be...?" She couldn't imagine because Gutter had a key and it was daytime, so Ben was likely in his own lovely little house. She rose just as smoothly as she sat down and went to the door. "Who are you? May I help you...?" Perry raised a brow cautiously as she peeked through a crack in the door.

Merry decided to take a seat. It looked as if this was the house to be at the moment. So she made herself at home waiting to see who was at the door.

hello anyone home?

Perry frowned, scowling slightly, "May I ask who this is?" She didn't really know anyone else in the city and wasn't expecting guests. Especially not at this hour! A visit from the headmistress was a welcome surprise, but perry couldn't really imagine anyone besides Ben or Gutter (and Gutter's crazy girlfriend) coming over to pay a visit. Triple-ringed eyes narrowed slightly before she shut the door, locking the deadbolt before turning back to the couch. "I'd like to thank you sincerely for allowing me to teach charms, Professor NicEssus." She bowed her head with a small smile.

oh this is mikkie i came to visiti saw ur house so i thought i could come visit!

Perry rose and went back to the door, peering out with a scowl. "I'm sorry, but I don't know anyone named Mikkie. I think you may have my address confused with someone else's. Goodbye. Have a nice day." Her voice wasn't so much friendly as curt and slightly abrupt as she closed the door with a loud snick and returned her attention back to the headmistress with a penitent smile. "I apoligize for that."

Merry looked past Perry to the new people at the door. "They are ok." Merry was sure about this.

Perry raised an eyebrow at the new people before returning her attention to the headmistress, "That may be true, but I'm still loath to let strangers enter my house. Good though they may be, I still don't know them, and since I don't want them here, nor have I expressly allowed them to enter, they can't. I do know at least basic vampiric code." She frowned slightly.

Merry saw that Perry had other guests. "Well I am goning to leave you with your guests. I have other studnets to visit. See you at school"
